Happy 2019 everyone, I’m a little late I know, and it has been some time since I’ve last posted. I’ve always been bad for posting on blogs and posting on social media – I’m working on it I swear.
Since the summer, I’ve been busy – mostly work and trying to get out of a writing slump. I attended a writer’s conference – Northern Heart – in September, and then the holiday season came in, and I was still stuck in my writer’s slump, but I pulled my self out of my reading slump, and found I’m very fond of cowboy romances who knew? I’ve already read eight books this year, and I hope to keep a steady pace.
As to my writing, the past few days I’ve pushed my self to write – and my manuscript, which is mostly finished, isn’t to bad off. It needs work, and a few pieces re-written, but I think, if I keep it up, I can have my first draft done by the end of the month, and spend April and May editing. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I’m very excited to finish this story and let the world see it. Then some other projects that have been sitting on the back burner can resurface so I can focus and even better finish them. I have a mystery/thriller story I’d loved to get my hands on again, it’s been a while, and an apocalypse/post-apocalypse type story, which was basically finished until I saw the supermassive plot hole. So once my romance story is finished, I’ll focus my energies on one of those.
As for my first book, Lester’s Great Adventure, I have not forgotten about it. It’s been almost a year since it was released, and I have some super awesome exciting news coming. Stayed tuned for next week and I’ll make a big announcement.
And the cat who inspired the story? He is doing well, as are his sisters. He’s been spending his days napping on the couch, sleeping under the Christmas tree, and of course, dreaming of his precious wet cat food in a can. He refuses to leave me alone during dinner time (or what he perceives as dinner time) until he is fed.
All in all, things are going well for me, I just need to kick my butt in gear and write, and be active on social media. I’m trying, I swear!

Popping in to give everyone an update on what’s been happening. I’m trying to make an effort to post more here (even if it’s just bots and spammers commenting, at least someone is “reading” this.) I’ve been hard at work for the 2019 April CampNaNoWrio. This time...
